Temporary Assistant Chief Constable
Simon was a Design Engineer before he joined
South Yorkshire Police. There he was awarded the Association of
Chief Officers Baton of Honour in recognition of the exceptionally
high marks he achieved in police examinations. In 1989 he
transferred to North Wales Police and was initially posted to serve
as the resident ‘village bobby’ for Bwlchgwyn.
In recent years Simon has served as the Head
of HR for the Force, Head of Roads Policing and Firearms
Operations, Head of the Force Control Room, Head of Crime Services
and Head of Local Policing Services. Simon has a Masters Degree in
Business Administration from Bangor University.
Two years ago Simon bought an old narrow
boat. So when he is not working, the sun is shining (and he can get
the engine going!) Simon can be found crashing his boat along the
Shropshire Union Canal.
