Appeal for return of tortoise and turtle

A tortoise and a turtle stolen from Glynllifon College near Caernarfon need to be returned to their monitored environment if they are to thrive.

The five year old female Hermann Tortoise and the Box Turtle were reported missing on Wednesday (July 18) from the college which uses them as part of its courses in animal care.

Staff and students at the college are keen for the two to be returned  as soon as possible to their monitored environment, where their food, water and temperature is carefully maintained.

The life expectancy of the two will be greatly reduced if they are not kept in a suitable environment.

Anyone with information about the animals is asked to call North Wales Police on 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers Wales anonymously on 0800 555 111.
