13/07/2012
Police are asking for witnesses to come forward following an
incident in Market Square, Flint on July 12 in which a man
brandished an ornamental sword.
No one was hurt during the incident, which is
believed to have followed a dispute between two men and police were
called at 11.20 am.
Although the offender fled the scene and
remains outstanding, police say they know who they are looking for
and believe the man poses no serious threat to members of the
general public.
Chief Inspector David Roome said; “I would
like to make an appeal for witnesses and reassure the local
community that we are acting quickly to locate the person
involved.
“This is a dispute between two individuals and
the wider community is not considered at risk. However, anyone with
information is asked to contact police on 101 or crimestoppers
anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
