15/11/2012
North Wales Police are asking for the public’s
assistance following a car being extensively damaged whilst parked
outside the owners home in Maes Gwynedd, Caernarfon.
Investigating officer PC Tony Davies at
Caernarfon said “On 31st October 2012, in fact Halloween
night, a local man parked his blue Vauxhall Vectra on the
street outside his home in Maes Gwynedd, Caernarfon. The
following morning he discovered that a paint stripping substance
had been poured over his car causing extensive damage.
“Enquiries made in the area have revealed a
CCTV camera captured an unknown man walk from the direction of Maes
Heulog and squirt a substance onto the car shortly after 8pm the
previous evening (31st October). Seconds after the
first attack the man is seen to return and squirt the car for a
second time. On this occasion four people, possibly teenage
girls, and not involved in the damage are seen to walk on the
opposite side of the road.”
The man is about 5’ 9 to 6’ tall, slim to
medium build wearing trousers and a hooded top which concealed his
face.
PC Davies concluded, “I am particularly eager
to identify the group walking opposite the car when the damage
occurred, they were not involved in the incident but could hold
vital information which will help me identify the person
responsible for this totally pointless act of criminal
damage. In fact I would like to hear from anyone who has any
information about this incident to contact Police on 101”
Anyone who has any information should contact
PC Davies on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
