Boat untied from its moorings at Victoria Dock, Caernarfon

North Wales Police are appealing for boat
owners to be vigilant following an incident at the Victoria Dock in
Caernarfon.
At approx. 9pm on Sunday 4th
November, three men entered the dock area and untied a 21 foot boat
from its mooring.
PC 2298 Andy Goulding, who is investigating
the incident said: “Luckily the tide was low, and a concrete panel
which protrudes from the water managed to stop the boat from
floating away.
“Enquiries are ongoing and CCTV footage is
being investigated. This may have been a prank however I am
appealing to anybody who may have seen three men acting
suspiciously in the Victoria Dock area to contact us. I am also
appealing to boat owners in the area to remain vigilant and to make
contact should they witness any similar incidents.”
