Indecent exposure in Prestatyn
26/01/2012
Police are appealing for information after a
young man exposed himself to a woman as she walked her dog along
Prestatyn promenade.
The 42-year-old woman was walking near the
Nova centre at around 4.45pm yesterday, Wednesday 25th
January, when she was followed a youth.
As she made her way towards the Beaches Hotel,
the young man shouted to her. He then lay on the grass bank with
his trousers down and indecently exposed himself to her.
The youth is described as being between 15 and
16 years of age. He had dark hair and was wearing a light grey
hooded sweatshirt with the hood around his face and dark denim
trousers.
Officers are keen to speak to two young women
who made a call to the police from a telephone kiosk in Prestatyn
at 7.55pm the previous night (January 24) reporting a man acting
suspiciously with his trousers down.
DS Mark Abbott commented: “Although incidents
of this nature are very unusual in North Wales we are determined to
identify the individual involved and bring him to justice.”
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident on
Wednesday or who may have seen a young man acting suspiciously in
the area is asked to contact DS Abbott on 101. Alternatively,
individuals can also contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
