Man on crutches assaulted in Bangor

North Wales Police are seeking witnesses to an
assault that took place outside Bron Castell Flats in Bangor on
Halloween night.
Investigating Officer PC Bryn Pritchard at
North Wales Police said “At about 10.30pm on Wednesday
31st October, Halloween night, a 51 year old local
man, who was actually on crutches at the time, was attacked and
punched several times to his face by another man of similar age if
not slightly older”
As a result of the attack the man has
sustained serious injuries to his face requiring surgery.
PC Jones concluded “This was a totally
unprovoked attack and extremely callous considering the man was on
crutches too. If you witnessed this attack, or have any
information regarding it please make contact with me at Bangor
Police station. In particularly I am very keen to hear from a
man who walked passed the lead up to the assault but was encouraged
to leave the scene by the assailant.”
