North Wales Police are seeking witnesses to an assault that took place outside Bron Castell Flats in Bangor on Halloween night.

Investigating Officer PC Bryn Pritchard at North Wales Police said “At about 10.30pm on Wednesday 31st October, Halloween night,  a 51 year old local man, who was actually on crutches at the time, was attacked and punched several times to his face by another man of similar age if not slightly older”

As a result of the attack the man has sustained serious injuries to his face requiring surgery.

PC Jones concluded “This was a totally unprovoked attack and extremely callous considering the man was on crutches too.  If you witnessed this attack, or have any information regarding it please make contact with me at Bangor Police station.  In particularly I am very keen to hear from a man who walked passed the lead up to the assault but was encouraged to leave the scene by the assailant.”
