North Wales Police are asking for the public’s
assistance following a burglary in JJB Sports, Mostyn Champneys
retail park Llandudno on the afternoon of Sunday 16th
December 2012.
Investigating Officer DC Louise Bunce at St
Asaph CID said “Sometime yesterday afternoon, and possibly during
the store’s opening hours, a man secreted himself inside JJB
Sports and sometime after the last customer left the store at
4.45pm confronted two members of staff before making off with a
quantity of cash from the day’s takings”
“The 27 year old store manager sustained
slight injuries whilst his 21 year old female colleague was unhurt
but clearly both are shaken by the incident.
DC Bunce concluded “At this stage we
understand the lone male offender may have left the rear of the
store sometime before 6pm and so I am appealing to anyone who was
in Clarence Crescent area, which is the link road between Conwy
Road and the Promenade, and may have seen the below described
person or any suspicious vehicle or behaviour to contact Police on
101. I am also keen to hear from anyone who was using the
store yesterday afternoon and again either saw this person, or
anything suspicious, to phone Police.”
Police are looking for a man described as
white, about 5'11" tall and of slim build. He was
wearing a black coloured beanie style hat and a black woollen scarf
covering his mouth & nose, black waist length jacket, black
trousers and black trainers.
