Fatal
collision Queensferry appeal
08/01/2013
North Wales Police are continuing their investigations into a
road traffic collision at approximately midday on Sunday
23rd December 2012 on Mount Pleasant Road, Drury,
Buckley, which resulted in the tragic death of Carl Limbert, 38,
from Queensferry.
The motorcycle ridden by Carl was a
distinctive red, green and white Aprilia 125cc model
displaying “L” plates, and was seen travelling along Mold
Road, Ewloe and numerous roads in Buckley, including
Liverpool Road , Brunswick Road , Church Road ,
Linthorpe Road, Knowle Lane and Drury Lane Buckley shortly
before the collision.
The motorcycle had a distinctive sound due to
the two stroke engine and Carl was wearing a distinctive silver
mirrored finish helmet with green writing on the rear.
Police now believe the motorcycle was
travelling in convoy with a dark coloured BMW 5 series estate and
at some locations may have been travelling in excess of the speed
limit.
The BMW is believed to be the latest model 5 series estate with
privacy glass to the rear windows. Sergeant Gwyndaf Jones is asking
anyone who believes they may have seen the vehicles to contact
North Wales Police. If you have any information about these
incidents Sergeant Jones can be contacted on 101 or anonymously via
Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Meanwhile a 32 year old local man, who was
arrested on Sunday 6th January on suspicion of causing
death by dangerous driving, has been bailed while police continue
with their investigations.
