North Wales Police are investigating a robbery following an incident in Plasey Street car park Bala at around midnight last night,  Wednesday 11th July 2012 11 when a 50 year old local woman was attacked and property stolen from her.   She sustained a serious abdominal injury but has since been discharged from hospital.

 

Detectives are appealing for any witnesses who were in the Plasey Street area of Bala between 11.30pm on Wednesday 11th and 12.30am Thursday 12th July who may have seen any suspicious activity or persons and particularly anyone who may have seen two males wearing hooded tops to make contact with them.

 

Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Keith Jones said  “This is a serious incident that is being thoroughly investigated by North Wales Police.  I appeal to anyone in the Plasey Street area last night who may have seen any suspicious activity to come forward.  We value and rely on the assistance of our communities to help us when these incidents occur.  This type of crime is a very rare event in North Wales and I would like to reassure the community of Bala that we will pursue the offenders with vigour”
