Digger parts stolen from National Trust site

North Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following the
theft of digger accessories from a National Trust site at Hafod y
Llan, Nant Gwynant near Caernarfon. A hydro project scheme is
currently underway at the site and the theft took place from a
works compound at the rear of Hafod y Llan.
Investigating Officer PC Alaw Roberts at
Porthmadog Police station said “The theft took place sometime
between 4.30pm on Thursday 22nd and 9.30am Friday
23rd November and I’d like to hear from anyone that may
have seen any suspicious persons or activity in the area. The
items taken are a considerable weight and will have required a few
pairs of hands and a vehicle to remove them from the scene”.
Stolen from the site was a Kubota pecker
attachment (Serial K402Q0010) for a mini digger and two digger
buckets. The pecker attachment weights approximately 60kg and
is about 2’ in length and the buckets, each with a distinctive hook
on either side for attachment to the digger, weight about
25kg and 40kg respectively.
