Take steps to make your motor cycle secure
09/07/2012
Police are urging motor cyclists to make sure
their bikes are secure following a number of thefts in the High
Street and Dee Road areas of Connah’s Quay.
The thefts occurred overnight during the weekend of June 29 and
July 1.
Sgt Arwel Ellis of the Community Safety
Department said: “We are asking anyone who noticed anything
suspicious to please get in touch.”
He added: “There are a number of measures that
can be taken to help prevent motorcycles being stolen.”
* Buy a good quality lock and fix it in a way
that it makes it awkward for a thief to access it.
* Avoid leaving your bike in isolated and
unlit areas.
* Always lock your bike to immovable
objects.
* Make sure your alarm is in working
order.
