Wrexham woman's death is murder
North Wales Police have confirmed that they
are treating the death of a woman found dead in her home in Wrexham
yesterday as murder.
Police were called to a house in Bryn Hafod
Estate, Caia Park at 10.02am on Wednesday February 20 where the
body of Glynis Eileen Solmaz, 65, was found.
Ms Solmaz is know to have been at a local
chemist shop at about 11.10am on Monday, February 18, but police
are still keen to speak to anyone who may have seen Ms Solmaz
anytime since the weekend, up to the discovery of her body
before 10am yesterday .
Ms Solmaz, lived alone and had two Rottweiler
dogs which she is said to have exercised regularly in the
area.
It is understood she often visited local
convenience stores and frequented public houses in Wrexham.
DCI Mark Hughes said; “We have launched
a murder investigation and would appeal to anyone who may have any
information that may assist us to call Wrexham CID at North
Wales Police on 101 quoting incident number P026849 or anonymously
on Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
County Chief Inspector Alex Goss said; “We
would like to reassure local residents that there will be extra
patrols in the area. Incidents such as this are not common in
Wrexham and we are determined, with public support, to bring those
responsible to justice".
