Prestatyn incident update
Police have arrested another person on suspicion of manslaughter
following an incident in Prestatyn last Saturday evening when a
local man 42 year old Jonathan Sillett, died.
The 20 year old man has been bailed pending further
inquiries.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Graham
Talbot says that this now takes the total number of people arrested
in connection with the incident to nine.
He said: “I am aware that in recent days there has been mention
of vehicles driving erratically and we did receive a call about
this last Saturday night. I am, however, able to confirm that until
this incident North Wales Police had not received any reports by
the public of anti social behaviour involving vehicles in the area
of Beach Road, Prestatyn, within the last 12 months.”
“Prestatyn is one of the safest and quietest areas in North
Wales and the recent tragic event when Mr Sillett died would appear
to be an isolated incident”
“I can assure the public that we take incidents of this nature
extremely seriously and the matter is being fully investigated and
Local Neighbourhood Policing staff will continue to provide visible
policing presence in the area in order to reassure the
community.”
Anyone with any information or is asked to call North Wales
Police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555
