Police re-assure public in Rhyl
02/08/2012
Police are increasing patrols in Rhyl town centre following a
number of incidents of anti social behaviour.
Denbighshire Coastal and Abergele Inspector Jason Devonport said
that NWP were determined to crackdown on offenders. He
said: “We have redeployed more officers into the town centre in
response to concern expressed by local residents.
“The public’s perception is that there have been more reports of
drinking and violence in the town and we are well aware of the
impact of that perception.”
“There has not been an increase in anti social behaviour,
however, we do want members of the public to feel safe and secure
and therefore decided to increase the number of officers in the
town centre.
“This is a place where we want everyone to feel safe and enjoy
Rhyl.”
