Rhuddlan Scouts visit air baseRhuddlan Scout visit

A local Scout group got a real insight into the work of the police helicopter and the officers who work on board.

PCSO Phil Harrison along with the 1st Rhuddlan Scout Leader Malcolm Boyton organised for the Scouts to visit the National Police Air Service Helicopter base in Rhuddlan.

Along with having a valuable insight into the benefits of the helicopter, the youngsters also had a tour of the aircraft, got to see for themselves the equipment that’s used and had the opportunity to quiz the officers about their work.

“The 1st Rhuddlan Scout Group were fantastic and we had a great time,” said PCSO Harrison. “I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended and the crew at the air base who were brilliant, they answered all the questions and made everybody feel very welcome.”
