Tribute to man who died in fatal collision in Dolgellau

Police have
named the 87 year old man who died in a road traffic collision last
night (Sunday October 7).
He was the Reverend Morris Jones Morris of Machynlleth, who died
when his Peugeot 207 was involved in a collision with an hgv at the
junction of the A470 with the A494 in Dolegellau at 8.30pm.
His family said that he was returning home from a preaching
appointment when the collision occurred.
They said that before he retired the Reverent ministered to
congregations on the Lleyn Peninsula and Dyffryn Banw.
He retired to his native Machynlleth 11 years ago after the
death of his wife Ellen.
Police are appealing for information and ask anyone who was
travelling in this area and witnessed the collision to contact
them.
