West Conwy impact day
11/12/2012
Eleven people were arrested following a series
of search warrants in the West Conwy area.
On Friday 7th December an impact day was
conducted in the West Conwy district, with the aim of targeting
individuals involved in crime and disorder in the area.
Seven search warrants were executed in total
in the Llandudno, Llandudno Junction, Colwyn Bay and Mochdre areas
under the misuse of drugs act. This resulted in six arrests and
numerous charges, including possession with intent to supply, and
recovery of thousands of pounds worth of Class A and B drugs.
Five further arrests were made for a variety
of other offences, which resulted in further charges.
Sgt Aspinall commented: "This day was designed
to target individuals actively engaged in criminality, and to
support and build confidence in the community, showing that we are
prepared to tackle the issues that matter the most, in a positive
manner. We have achieved some excellent results which go a long way
to making the streets of West Conwy safer.”
