Campaigns

The Corporate Communications Department produce a variety of Force-wide campaigns and also support national Home Office initiatives, which are aimed at providing crime prevention advice to the public, or informing them of issues that we are tackling.

    During the festive period the key message is simple, if you drink, don’t drive and if you drive, don’t drink.

    BANG 2011 is an all Wales community safety campaign covering the Halloween and Bonfire Night period and asks people to ‘be a nice guy’ (BANG).The campaign is aimed at reducing incidents of antisocial behaviour during the celebratory period.

    A campaign, aimed at keeping older drivers driving for longer has been launched throughout North Wales. The Older Driver Campaign will be encouraging drivers over 60 to take part in a free driver assessment course.

    An awareness campaign to help reduce doorstep crime has been launched across Wales, in conjunction with all Welsh Police Forces, Local Authorities, Trading Standards and support groups such as Age Cymru.

    This campaign aims to target those who live far in excess of their income through the proceeds of crime. These individuals are responsible for undermining communities and destroying lives – we want to put a stop to it and we want the public to help.
