Welcome to the North Wales Police Firearms Licensing Section.

The North Wales Police Firearms licensing section is based at Prestatyn Police Station and is part of the Administration of Justice Department.

Our policy is based on ensuring that Public Safety is not jeopardised and that all applications are dealt with on a fair and equal basis.

We are also able to offer advice on matters relating to shotguns, firearms and black powder explosives.

The department is contactable on 01745 539394 between 10.00 and 15:00 Monday to Friday.

We request that applications for renewals are submitted to the department by post as soon as possible, we are currently working to return applications within 56 days of the receipt of the application.
