Domestic abuse – don’t suffer in silence
A woman who suffered years of domestic abuse at the hands of her partner is urging others who are in a similar position to seek help as soon as possible.
The woman from north Wales, who wishes to remain anonymous, has spoken of her experiences in order to help others and to help promote the current Domestic Abuse campaign which is being coordinated to tie in with the Rugby Six Nations Championship.

National Specials Weekend
North Wales Police's Specials took part in a national weekend to celebrate the Special Constabulary.
The annual event took place over the weekend of Saturday and Sunday (12th & 13th February) and was an opportunity to promote the work of the special constables and raise their profile amongst their local communities
At 1805 hrs today, Thursday 10th February 2011, George Norman Johnson aged 47 years of Brighton Road, Rhyl was charged with the Murder of Florence May Habesch from Grange Road in Rhyl.
Mrs Habesch body was discovered during the early hours of the morning of Tuesday 8th February 2011 in her home address.
Johnson will appear before Llandudno Magistrates tomorrow morning where a remand in custody is sought.

Tackling Domestic Abuse ahead of the Six Nations

Christmas Drink Drive Campaign Results
Officers from the four Welsh police forces have stopped and breathalysed more than 40,000 drivers during this year's Christmas Drink Drive Campaign which lasted from December 1st 2010 until January 1st 2011.

Putting the brakes on illegal drivers
Police forces across Wales will be putting the brakes on illegal motorists during a two-week campaign which has been launched today (Tuesday, 19th of October).

Serious violence drops to zero during successful operation.
Incidents of serious violence late at night in Llandudno were reduced to zero over the weekends during one of the busiest periods of the year thanks to a police initiative.
From mid June until the end of August, Operation Filli ran in the town and it proved to be so successful that local District Inspector Ian Verburg has decided to continue with the work up to and including the Christmas period.

In-car child safety highlighted
An operation aimed at highlighting in-car child safety throughout Conwy and Denbighshire will get underway this month.
Throughout September and beyond, officers from North Wales Police, the Fire and Rescue Service and the local Highways Department will be visiting primary schools as well as mini-cab companies highlighting in-car child safety.
