Your Local Priorities

Speeding through the villages of Gresford, Marford and Hoseley.
Issues raised concerning the speed of vehicles passing through both villages. we will work closely with Arrive Alive to look at the areas mentioned which are, Chester Road, Marford Hill, Pant Lane, Hillock Lane, High Street and School Hill.

Please check back regularly for updates 10/08/10 by 92118 - Email sent to Paul Williams, Safer Roads Officer asking for his assistance with speed awareness on Marford Hill, near to Village Walks as this was an area highlighted as a concern at the PACT meeting. Once a date has been arranged, local councillors and residents will be invited to attend. 10/08/2010 by 92118 - Today 10/08/10 myself, PC2566 Gaskell, Paul Williams - Safer Roads Officer and members of the public have conducted a site meeting on Marford Hill outside the junction of Village Walks. The speed indicator device was used to promote speed awareness/education. A further date is to be arranged for continuation of this action plan.

Please check back regularly for updates. 22/07/2010 by 92118 - Local residents at the meeting have been provided with the NPT contact details and advised to report specific incidents. Balance your Bobbies forms are being promoted in Gresford and Marford. The NPT will endeavour to re-instate the Gresford and Marford 'Pubwatch' 30/07/2010- Email sent to Ann Williams, Licencing officer reference the set up of the Gresford and Marford Pub Watch Scheme. 06/08/2010 by 92850 - Pc2566 and C2850 spoke to owners of Plough and Yew Tree about recent incidents and Pubwatch. 14/10/2010 by 92850 - Yew Tree Public House has temporarily closed while a new DPS is sought. 21/08/2010 - New DPS now in place in Yew Tree Public House.
