Remembrance Day.

On Remembrance  Sunday the 8th November 2009  Pc 479 David Edwards the Community Beat Manager for Bodelwyddan and Ysbyty Glan Clwyd together with Senior Nursing Sister Louise Thomas  from the Hospital attended at St Margaret's Church, Bodelwyddan more commonly  known as the Marble Church to lay wreaths in memory of all those last in past and present conflicts. The service itself was attended by local dignitaries, representatives from the serving military, and the local community.Unusually there are two wreath laying ceremonies, one during the service inside the Church, and a second outside close to the war graves at the end of the service.

The Church itself contains a number of military graves mainly from the Great war when Bodelwyddan had a vast transit camp for soldiers. In the Cemetery are the graves of many Canadian soldiers who died in the Influenza epidemic of 1919.
