Detective Constables

We are seeking to recruit qualified, skilled and experienced Detective Constables from other Home Office Forces to support Local Policing Service delivery across the force area as well as within our specialist detective roles. Applicants must have successfully completed the Initial Crime Investigators Development Programme (ICIDP) or equivalent CID Foundation Course.


Policing North Wales presents many exciting investigative challenges; we are seeking highly motivated and capable detectives to support our major crime, serious and organised, public protection and Local Policing CID departments. We are about to implement a dedicated rape investigation team that will enhance our multi agency approach and commitment to victim care and continually improving the quality of our investigations.

North Wales Police are looking to recruit Constables transferring from other Home Office Forces. To be eligible to transfer to North Wales Police you must currently be a serving officer who has successfully completed your probationary period. The majority of positions will be within our Local Policing Services environment as patrol officers based across the Force area.
