Assistant Chief Constable
Sacha Hatchett was appointed as Assistant Chief Constable of North Wales Police on 29th April 2019.
Sacha joined the police service in February 1997, and has worked within a variety of different roles across North Wales Police and Cheshire. Sacha’s last post prior to her appointment as Assistant Chief Constable was as Temporary Assistant Chief Constable in Cheshire Constabulary.
As a Chief Superintendent, Sacha has previously had responsibility for Local Policing Services, which includes Local Policing, Operational Support Services and Crime Services, including Criminal Justice. Sacha also has experience as lead of Force Change Programmes.
As Head of Local Policing Services, Sacha had overall responsibility for delivering response policing, neighbourhood policing and level 1 investigation across north Wales in line with the vision and priorities set out within the Police and Crime Plan. This included 1400 staff made up of police officers, police and community support officers, detectives and volunteer officers across 10 local policing areas under the direction of three area senior management teams.
As Head of Operational Support Services, Sacha had overall responsibility for the operational delivery of Roads Policing, Firearms Policing, Operational Planning, the Administration of Justice and the Force Communications Centre across north Wales.
As Assistant Chief Constable for North Wales Police, Sacha has overall responsibility for the Force’s Crime Operations portfolio.
Sacha works closely with chief officers in both the North West Region and All Wales Region.
Sacha has two children of primary school age and her passion is walking in the welsh hills.
