We are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in which a car clipped a pram  as it was being pushed across the  road at the crossing on Bodhyfryd between ASDA supermarket and the former police station in Wrexham.

The incident happened at around 10.30am on Wednesday October 7.

The baby in the pram sustained a serious injury and is being treated in hospital.

The vehicle involved is understood to have been a small white hatchback car which failed to stop.

DI Eleri Thomas said;  “We are appealing for the driver to come forward. I would also ask for any witness in the area at the time, anyone with dash-cam footage which may assist us and any taxi’s which may have been in the area at the time and who may have witnessed a distressed female with a pram and a young child, to contact us on 101 quoting reference  Y147907.
