Appeal following phone shop theft

Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of phones at a Wrexham shop.

Around 1pm on Saturday June 1 three men entered the Carphone Warehouse at Island Green shopping centre and began pulling a number of high value Iphones from their tethers in full view of customers.

One customer bravely attempted to stop one of the thieves. The offender was also pulled to the ground by a member of staff before breaking free and escaping.

The three suspects made off in the direction of Bellevue Park with three stolen phones.

PC Owain Lewis said: “I am appealing for the customer who confronted the offender, to contact us as he is a key witness and also to any other witnesses in and around the store who may have information, to come forward and to contact police on 101  or  via our webchat at  https://www.north-wales.police.uk/contact/live-chat-support  quoting reference 19100281797
