Attempt robbery in Rhyl

Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempt robbery at the West End News store on Wellington Road in Rhyl.

The incident happened at around 6.54pm on Saturday 10th March, when a man entered the store and threatened the owner, demanding that the takings from the till be placed into a bag. 

The offender is described as being a white male. He was approximately 5’11” tall, of slim build and was wearing a dark jacket and a black balaclava.

DS 2605 Rob Mahoney said: “Thankfully no-one was injured and the offender left empty handed. We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or who may have seen someone acting suspiciously to contact police.”
