Car fire in Acton, Wrexham

Shortly after 3.25am this morning, Tuesday 12th June, North Wales Fire & Rescue Service and North Wales Police attended the report of a car on fire in Acton Park Community Centre, Overton Way Wrexham. The vehicle, a Morris 1800 was destroyed by the blaze, the circumstances of which are being treated as suspicious by local Police.  

Local Sergeant Vic Powell said ‘The Morris was left parked by the owner in the car park and an initial examination by North Wales Fire & North Wales Police point towards a deliberate ignition and so a criminal investigation is underway. I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time who saw any suspicious persons or activity, or indeed knows anything about this fire to contact Police immediately.’
