Further arrest made in Bangor Taser Investigation

Following extensive police investigation in to the theft of a Taser in Bangor last week, officers yesterday made another arrest.

37 year old Barry John Roberts of Penrhyn Avenue, Bangor has been charged with the theft of a police issue Taser and possession of a weapon designed or adapted for the discharge of an electrical incapacitation device.

He will appear before magistrates at Caernarfon this morning.

Detective Inspector Dafydd Curry said: “As a result of intensive enquiries, we have recovered some component parts of the missing Taser. However, the main body of the weapon is still to be found.

"Our team of detectives will relentlessly continue with the investigation until all of the Taser is located and there will be further police activity in response to this unacceptable incident.”
