Llandudno: Party with a BANG 2

November 5th will be party night for the second year running for scores of young people in Llandudno.

Following the success of last years “Party With A Bang” local Police Community Support Officers Chris Perkins and Andy Jones, have arranged  ‘Party With A Bang 2’ for 125 young people living in the Llandundo area.

The ticket only event has been organised as part of the Operation Bang campaign and instead of watching fireworks on November 5, the PCSO’s are hoping that many youngsters will be heading to Llandudno Rugby Club for a cracking party which is free!

From 7pm until 9.30pm, youngsters over 11 years old can enjoy the tunes of local DJ Big Lee.  Free hot dogs and pop will also be given out on the night to all the young people present.

“This is a real community event,” said PCSO Chris Perkins. “The rugby club have again given the room for free, hosted by local DJ Big Lee,  this event is supported again by Ysgol John Bright.

Furthermore, staff at the town’s PC World store have helped enable us to buy a 16gb iPod to be given out on the night as a spot prize”

Tickets will be distributed to young people in the area and follows on from a visit PCSO Jones made to Ysgol John Bright.

The officer spoke to year 7 & 8 about personal safety and the dangers of trick and treating over Halloween as well as the dangers of deliberate fire setting.

Following the input, the pupils were asked to fill out questionnaires on the topics presented, with another chance of winning a second mp3 player.

A total of £200 has been given towards ‘Party with a Bang 2’ under the overall Operation Bang from Arson Reduction Team, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police in partnership with the Police And Community Trust (PACT).
