Man charged following incident on Caernarfon campsite

A man is now facing prosecution following an incident on Rhyd y Galen campsite near Bethel, Caernarfon, where four campers were injured in their tents by a vehicle being driven on the site during the early hours of yesterday morning, Monday 19th August.
DCI Sion Williams said: “As a result of this disturbing incident, the Crown Prosecution Service has authorised charging a 26 year old man from the Manchester area with:causing serious injury by dangerous driving, dangerous driving, driving otherwise in accordance with a driving licence, driving a motor vehicle without insurance and failing to provide a breath specimen for analysis."
Jake Waterhouse will be appearing before Llandudno Magistrates Court tomorrow. A second man has been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.
The woman injured during the incident remains in a critical condition in hospital and our thoughts and support remain with her and her family.
